This time from my dear family friend Karin in a beautifully written envelope, she buttoned buisiness-cards with great tips on a string (nice idea) , I got a ticket for the FOAM, a birthday card with paper clips with my age, paper harts, labels, a collage of her life and a braided bracelet. Thanks

from across the street

I think this letter had to travel the shortest distance of all. It only had to cross the street. From my dear friend an neighbor noelle I received a package intended for hot summer nights: a handmade booklet with bbq recipes and another with recipes for desserts, poetry pictures of vegetables :-), a photo of our families having diner together on the lawn, a fill-in-book to discover your neighborhood (I will certainly do) and mixed spices for turkish meatballs. I will use it all when the weather in netherlands will become better.

From Amsterdam to Paris

 Today I share with you the snail mail I received in May from Noelle. A selection of nice things wich comes from Holland ! I do love The rabbit Miffy, the chocolates are excellent. And I had the pleasure to receive a family recipe !! Many thanks Noelle !!

Sweet Post of May arrived. Karin thank you for this nice Amsterdam snail mail! She made a garland of origami birds, printed a recipe i'm adding in my to-do list and show me the world around her with a beautiful collage.

Sweet Post du mois de mai arrivé à destination. Merci Karin d'Amsterdam pour ce joli snail mail ! Elle a confectionné une guirlande d'oiseaux en origami, imprimé une recette que j'ajoute à la liste à faire et m'a fait découverte son monde qui l'entoure avec un beau collage.

and her watercolored envelope
is beautiful.
she sent me
a postcard - with a
hand drawn map,
some stickers,
and blueberry tea -
that smells and tastes wonderful.
she tried to send candy
the post wouldn't let her.

An Amsterdam affair

Everything about this letter is Dutch. Sender, receiver and theme. The Netherlands have a new king who was inaugurated on the 30st of April. A glorious day and good vibes in Amsterdam throughout the whole week.

This letter didn't have to go far. From Amsterdam centre across the water to Amsterdam North.

From Hollande To Québec

Mon 1er Sweet Post arrivé à destination. Merci Noëlle c'était vraiment super, j'adore ! Très typique de son pays de la Hollande, ce style qu'elle a choisie. Je me suis régalée en dégustant le cake, un petit biscuit et le thé. Elle a inséré une recette de gâteau aux pommes, faut croire que son petit doigt lui a dit que j'adorais ce type de gâteau. Je vous partage quelques photos prisent sur le vif et les mots de Noëlle sur le papier.

My first Sweet Post arrived. Thank you Noëlle it was really great, I love it! Very typical of the country of Holland, this style she has chosen. I really enjoyed tasting the cake, a biscuit and tea. She give me a recipe card of apple cake, I guess that's a little bird told her that I loved this type of cake. I share with you some pictures taken on the spot and some words from Noëlle on paper.

April - From Argentina to Portugal

In April I received this letter from Agus, Argentina. It was a simple but lovely letter with a beautiful postcard from Buenos Aires and a pretty envelope. Thank you Agus!

Today I recieved a letter from Magali from Paris. Containing a notebook covered with fabric and a matching pencil, a beautiful green folder with prints of French designer Fifi Mandirac and a necklace with an enamel pendant. All so beautifully packaged. I liked the idea of the flags made of tape. Thank you Magali!

first post

today i received my first post!
it is very exciting to get something in the mail.
it is from telma to me - cheryl.
all the way from portugal to canada.

she sent some patterned paper,
2 little notebooks,
special local tea,
a handwritten letter,
and a lovely necklace -
handmade for me.
(i love the pinecone)
thank you so much telma -
i can't wait to send you something back -
but that will have to wait until december.
in the meantime -
i am down to the last minute to send mine -
all the way to malta -
(i had to look that up on the map)
sorry juniper -
(don't you just love her name?) -
it may not get there until may.
but, here is a sneak peak at the envelope...

how to make an envelope from a magazine

take an envelope and tear it open, place on top of the image, trace, cut, fold and past the sides, ready!

put a sticker on the front where you want to write the adress.
I made these from a free supermarket-magazine and ronin made one from his drawing
